2024 Bulbs
I have trialed dozens of Tulip varieties over the years and have narrowed down a list of some of my favorites. These are some of the Tulips I loved to grow here on the “In Bloom” farm as cut flowers, but they can also be grown in your home garden as a beautiful landscape display. I ordered some extras from the Netherlands this year, just for you!
I think you’re going to love growing these unique, “fancy” Tulips and Daffodils in your own garden!

A unique color scheme made up of warm shades of lemon, raspberry and cerise is not the only striking feature of this fabulous Tulip. These lovely peony-style tulips also boast impressively large blooms that are sweetly scented and guaranteed to make a statement in any setting. Due to the large size of their flower heads and their vulnerability to harsh weather conditions, it is recommended that you plant your bulbs in a slightly sheltered spot.

This Tulip opens creamy ivory-white and matures to milky-white with yellow flames and exterior petals with emerald-green striations. It is a strong, robust variety that stands up well to spring rains and wind.
The History: It was discovered by Willem Vink some 20 years ago in a huge field, it was flagged with his bandanna so the flower would not be cut off the next morning. Unfortunately, the bandanna and the unique sport disappeared in the field. White Emperor bulbs from that field were not sold that year. They grew the entire field on, and the following spring, they were rewarded with two Exotic Emperors.
I am so thankful that this Tulip was saved as it has quickly become one of my personal favorites! This is planted in my own landscaping as you can see in these photos.
